Does the road you are on right now seem long? Do you know where you are going and why? If not, then stop immediately and find the answers to these questions. If it is not your road, find the road that is yours. If you know the answers to these questions, then keep on moving.

Just as this picture depicts, your goal is the beautiful view at the end of your path. Does it seem far away? Maybe so. However, this is why you focus on the milestones that lead you towards your goal. Again, just as this picture depicts, that is the green grass, the beautiful trees, hearing the birds chirping you on, and noticing how straight and narrow your path actually is.

When you focus on what is right in front of you – one step at a time – and find gratitude for your progress – you will reach your end goal in no time. Also, when you do it this way, you arrive with a fuller heart!

•know where you are going

•know why you are going there

•develop a path/plan to get there

•take one step every day; never miss more than 2 days in a row

•focus on milestones on the way to the end goal

•find gratitude in each milestone

•focus on what is in front of you to stay mindful

•when you reach your end goal, celebrate and give thanks
