The Seven Most Effective Methods of Self-Hypnosis: How to Create Rapid Change in your Health, Wealth, and Habits

This is a book written by Dr. Richard K. Nongard and can be found on Amazon for under $12 for the paperback version. This should be the first book to read since much of what we talk about throughout the course is that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy

This book can be found on Amazon for under $40 for the hard-copy version. This is NOT a must for this course. However, it is a good one for your library. Whether you get it now or ask for it as a gift in the future, it may be worth having eventually.

Observation/Participation Opportunities:

As I schedule and host additional online events, those will be shared with you for participation.

Meetup: Strategies to Build Your Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem

Meets the 1st Thursday of every month from 7-8:30pm Central. This Meetup will show you a "marketing" method to attract new clients as well as build content for your business and niche market.

Although this video is not hypnosis in nature, it does show you some of the different ways our skill sets can be utilized in our communities. We can do this for no charge as a way to promote and advertise our business, or we can do group, online work to make additional revenue. This is a recording from one of my free monthly Meetup groups.

This video is shared with you as an FYI as it is an example of a paid online webinar that I held regarding a new moon ceremony. At the end there is a guided meditation. This is an example of how we can use our skill sets to teach others as well as to create another revenue source for your business.

Audios:

Dave Elman is the creator of the Elman Induction. Many consider his induction to be the best of all inductions since it is rapid (only a few minutes) and includes all components to encourage trance (i.e., fractionation, catalepsy, and amnesia [forgetting the numbers at the end]). I especially like this recording because it also shows a great way to use regression to cause by taking the client to the initial sensitizing event (ISE).

With this recording, listen to how I helped ensure clients went deep enough by starting with the Dr. Flowers induction for fractionation, to assign an ideomotor response (IMR) and to "mask" it under ensuring their comfort in the seats they are sitting in. You will hear towards the end of the hypnosis session that I use the IMR to "talk" to them to ensure that the change work will occur for them. NOTE: They all raised their yes finger. Also, in a one-on-one session, you might have the client establish their own yes and no and [sometimes] I don't know signal, but in a group, it is best that you direct that for consistency and ease on yourself.

I chose to use the progressive muscle relaxation induction to be congruent with the environment that we were in -- a salt cave. This environment calls for relaxation, so the induction should match, in my opinion.

You will also notice that I did give a post-hypnotic suggestion. Since this was a group, I also gave a big variety of suggestions (i.e., control room, aversion technique with the suggestion of poison, I future paced them, and I gave direct suggestions with the affirmation of "nothing tastes as good as life."

Lastly, when I brought them back into awareness after the Dr. Flowers induction, I shouldn't have said anything about "now when we start the actual hypnosis" because that wasn't necessary because I should have presupposed that they were already in hypnosis and they would now go deeper. See, we are ALL always learning and growing and every single client we see, group or one-on-one is a teacher for us. Always!
